Ingredients

  • Thin craft wire (18 to 22 gauge), about 3 to 6 feet total
  • Small base (wood disc, stone, or jar lid)
  • Air-dry clay or epoxy putty for the trunk and base
  • Clear resin or thick PVA glue that dries clear
  • Glow-in-the-dark pigment powder or pre-made glow beads
  • Small glass beads, quartz chips, or salt crystals
  • Tweezers and round-nose pliers
  • Small paintbrush for glue and pigment work
  • Sandpaper (fine grit)
  • A small tray or silicone mat
  • Disposable mixing cups and stirring sticks
  • Protective gloves
  • A desk lamp or sunlight for charging glow pigment

Instructions

  1. Gather your workspace and materials.
  2. Form the wire armature.
  3. Secure the trunk to the base.
  4. Build branch texture with clay or putty.
  5. Prepare your adhesive or resin.
  6. Add glow pigment to a small portion of resin if using.
  7. Apply adhesive where you want crystals.
  8. Place beads or crystals with tweezers.
  9. Coat with a thin gloss layer once beads set.
  10. Charge the glow parts under lamp light.
  11. Let everything cure fully.
  12. Do a final check and smooth edges if needed.

Notes

Keep your finished tree away from direct sun and curious hands. Store it wrapped in soft tissue in a dry place.
