Ingredients

- 1 empty plastic soda bottle (clear 16oz or 20oz)
- 1 glow stick, LED tea light, or fairy light snippet
- Black or brown construction paper or felt (for wings & head)
- 2 googly eyes
- 1 pipe cleaner (for antennae)
- Tape, hot glue, or craft glue
- Scissors
- Optional: glitter, stickers, or paint for decoration
Instructions
- Clean & Prep the Bottle: Rinse the bottle and dry it well. If you want a stubby firefly, cut off the neck.
- Make the Wings & Head: Cut wing shapes and glue them to the sides. Cut a small circle or oval for the head and attach googly eyes.
- Add the Glow: Crack and activate the glow stick and drop it inside or use a battery tea light.
- Final Touches: Decorate with glitter, paint, or stickers and allow to dry.
- Display & Enjoy: Use as soft night lights or decorate outdoor spaces.
Notes
