Ingredients

  • Clear casting resin or low-heat melting crystal medium
  • Pink mica powder or pastel pigment
  • Small seashell-shaped silicone molds
  • Mixing cups and wooden stir sticks
  • Disposable gloves
  • Fine-point syringe or small pouring spout
  • Toothpick or pin
  • Mask rated for organic vapors (if using resin)
  • Heat gun or small torch (optional)
  • Soft cloth and mild soap
  • String, ribbon, or small eye pins for hanging (optional)
  • Small tray or cardboard for work surface protection

Instructions

  1. Clear and calm your space. Lay down a tray or cardboard and gather all your supplies.
  2. Measure the resin or crystal medium into a mixing cup.
  3. Stir until the mix turns glossy and uniform.
  4. Add pink mica powder, folding it in slowly.
  5. Let the mix rest for a minute, coax bubbles with a toothpick.
  6. Prepare your molds on a flat tray.
  7. Pour the mixture into each shell mold.
  8. Use a heat gun to reduce surface bubbles.
  9. Cover the molds to shield from dust and let cure.
  10. Unmold slowly once fully cured.
  11. Smooth edges with sandpaper if needed.
  12. Add hanging hardware or glue for ribbon.
  13. Arrange on a shelf or hang in a window.
