Create beautiful marbled air dry clay pots as a calming and creative craft that adds a personal touch to your home decor.

Ingredients

  • Air dry clay
  • Acrylic paints or natural pigments
  • Clay cutting tools (scissors or craft knife)
  • Rolling pin
  • Bowl of water
  • Plastic wrap

Instructions

  1. Begin by taking a portion of the air dry clay and kneading it until it is soft and pliable.
  2. Separate the clay into two or more smaller pieces. Choose your desired colors and mix a small amount of acrylic paint into each piece of clay, kneading until the color is evenly distributed.
  3. Gently roll each colored piece into a snake shape and then swirl them together into one piece, aiming for a marbled effect.
  4. Roll the marbled clay into a ball, and then flatten it slightly using a rolling pin to create an even, flat pancake shape.
  5. Use your hands or a bowl to shape the flattened clay into a pot.
  6. Smooth out any rough edges with a bit of water on your fingers if needed.
  7. Once shaped, let your creation dry completely according to the package instructions; this usually takes about 24 hours.

Notes

Store in a dry place to prevent moisture. If reshaping is needed, use a bit of water.
