Ingredients
- Clean, empty plastic bottle (soda or water bottle)
- Scissors
- Paint or permanent markers
- Paintbrush (optional)
- Googly eyes (optional)
- Pipe cleaners (for antennae)

Instructions
- Remove the label from your plastic bottle and rinse it out to make sure it’s clean and dry.
- Cut the bottle in half lengthwise using scissors.
- Take the top half of the bottle and cut the edges to form wings.
- If desired, use paint or markers to add color to your wings.
- Allow the wings to dry completely.
- Once the wings are dry, attach googly eyes using glue.
- Cut two pieces of pipe cleaner and bend them into shape for the antennae.
- Sprinkle glitter or glue on sequins to your wings if you want to add sparkle.
- Apply a clear varnish if desired to protect your butterfly.
