Ingredients

Scale
  • Pinecones
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup of Epsom salt
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • A bowl for mixing
  • A tray for freezing

Instructions

  1. Pour about two cups of water into your mixing bowl.
  2. Add half a cup of Epsom salt and stir until completely dissolved.
  3. Mix in a few drops of food coloring if desired.
  4. Submerge the pinecones in the mixture, ensuring they are fully soaked.
  5. Arrange the pinecones on a tray or in a dish, ensuring they aren’t touching.
  6. Place the tray in the freezer for at least 240-360 minutes, or until solidified.
  7. Once frozen, take the pinecones out of the freezer and gently shake off the excess salt.
  8. Allow them to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before displaying them.
