A calming DIY project that transforms pinecones into beautiful frozen ice crystal creations.

Ingredients

  • Fresh pinecones
  • Water (clean and clear)
  • A container for freezing (a bowl or similar)
  • Optional: glitter or food coloring for added effect
  • Natural elements for decoration (like small twigs or leaves)

Instructions

  1. Rinse your pinecones under cool water to remove any dirt.
  2. Place your pinecones upright in your chosen container with enough space for even freezing.
  3. Pour water over the pinecones until fully submerged, adding food coloring or glitter if desired.
  4. Put the container in the freezer for 6-8 hours or overnight.
  5. Gently pop the ice out of the container; run warm water over the outside if needed.
  6. Allow the frozen pinecones to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before handling.
  7. Display your creations in a cozy spot or integrate them into your home decor.

Notes

Preserve your frozen pinecones in a cool, dry place and consider re-freezing them for a new design later.
