A calming DIY project to create beautiful marbled crayon suncatchers, perfect for brightening your window with unique designs.

Ingredients

  • Wax paper
  • Crayons (old or broken)
  • Oven or heat source
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Template for shapes (optional)
  • Baking sheet
  • Craft stick (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C).
  2. Peel the wrappers off the crayons.
  3. Break the crayons into small pieces.
  4. Lay a piece of wax paper on a baking sheet.
  5. Scatter the broken crayon pieces onto the wax paper.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the oven and melt the crayons for about 10 minutes.
  7. Check the progress and swirl the melted crayons with a craft stick if desired.
  8. Allow the wax paper to cool before peeling off the suncatcher.
  9. Cut out shapes from your creation using scissors.

Notes

Personalize with different shapes and colors. Avoid storing in direct sunlight to prevent fading.
