Create beautiful crystal flower roses using simple materials and a calming process that connects you to nature.

Ingredients

  • Fresh flowers (roses recommended)
  • Sugar, salt, or borax (for crystal growth)
  • Water
  • Food coloring
  • A container for crystallization (glass jars)
  • A stirring stick (wooden spoon)
  • A pot (for heating water)
  • Optional: decorative elements (like glitter)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your flowers by trimming them to desired lengths carefully.
  2. Make the crystallization solution by combining water with sugar, salt, or borax in a pot and heating until dissolved.
  3. Add food coloring to the solution once dissolved.
  4. Set your flowers upright in glass jars.
  5. Fill the jars with the crystallization solution, covering the stems without submerging the blooms.
  6. Let the jars sit undisturbed for several hours or days.
  7. Finish by removing the flowers and allowing them to dry on a soft cloth.
  8. Display your beautiful creations in a cherished spot.

Notes

To rejuvenate crystals, re-dip flowers in fresh crystallization solution and experiment with colors for variety.
