Ingredients

  • Bioplastics (cornstarch or gelatine)
  • Water
  • Food coloring
  • Mold or cookie cutters
  • Baking paper

Instructions

  1. Start by mixing equal parts of bioplastic and water in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Add a few drops of food coloring into the mixture and stir gently.
  3. Lay out a sheet of baking paper on a flat surface.
  4. Pour the colored mixture onto the paper, spreading it into desired shapes.
  5. If using molds, fill them with the bioplastic mixture, ensuring no air bubbles.
  6. Allow the suncatchers to dry in a warm area for several hours or overnight.
  7. Once dry, gently peel the suncatchers away from the baking paper.
  8. Finally, hang your creations in a sunny spot to observe the light filtering through.

Notes

To prolong the life of your suncatchers, store them in a cool, dry place and avoid excessive heat.
