Create beautiful beaded hanging lanterns that bring a warm glow and a personal touch to your home.

Ingredients

  • Wide-mouth glass jar (such as a mason jar)
  • Thin wire or string (lightweight and flexible)
  • Variety of beads (different shapes, sizes, and colors)
  • Scissors
  • Tealight candle or LED tea light (for safety)
  • Optional: Paint or markers to decorate the jar

Instructions

  1. Begin by prepping your glass jar. Make sure it is clean and dry. If you wish, you can use paint or markers to decorate the outside for an extra personal touch.
  2. Cut a length of wire or string, about two feet long. This will be the base for threading your beads.
  3. Start threading your beads onto the wire or string. Arrange them in a pattern or mix them randomly—let your creativity guide you.
  4. Once you have threaded enough beads to reach the desired length, make sure to leave some space on either end for securing.
  5. Create a loop at the top of your wire or string. This will be where you hang your lantern. Twist the ends around themselves tightly for security.
  6. If using an LED tea light, place it into the jar, then carefully position your beaded string around the neck of the jar, ensuring it loops properly.
  7. Finally, place the jar in a safe spot where you can enjoy the beautiful glow of your completed DIY Beaded Hanging Lantern.

Notes

Use various bead materials and add natural elements for personalization. Ensure safety if using real candles.
