Create beautiful and vibrant suncatchers using melted crayons, a perfect mindfulness crafting project.

Ingredients

  • Crayons (any colors you love; use broken pieces for ease)
  • Non-stick baking sheets or silicone molds
  • Parchment paper or wax paper
  • An oven (or a toaster oven for a smaller set)
  • Scissors (for cutting crayon wrappers)
  • Optional: a sponge for cleanup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
  2. Remove the wrappers from the crayons.
  3. Break the crayons into smaller pieces.
  4. Place the broken crayon pieces into the molds.
  5. Put the molds on the baking sheet and place in the oven.
  6. Watch the crayons melt for 10-15 minutes until transformed.
  7. Carefully remove the molds from the oven and let them cool.
  8. Freeze if necessary to help them pop out smoothly.
  9. Punch a small hole at the top to allow stringing.
  10. Hang your creations in a sunny spot to catch the light.

Notes

Gently wipe clean with a soft cloth to maintain brightness.
