A delightful and engaging DIY experiment that combines baking soda and vinegar with food coloring to create a colorful fizzing effect.

Ingredients

  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • Food coloring or natural dyes
  • Small bowls or cups for mixing
  • Measuring spoons
  • A tray for the display (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by measuring out a few tablespoons of baking soda and placing it into your small bowls.
  2. Add a few drops of food coloring to the baking soda.
  3. In a separate bowl, measure out the vinegar.
  4. Slowly pour the vinegar over the colored baking soda and watch as a delightful fizz erupts.
  5. If you wish to create additional layers or different colors, repeat steps 1-4 using various colors or additional baking soda and vinegar.
