A sensory project inviting relaxation through the creation of beautiful, floating bubbles.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups room-temperature water
  • 1/4 cup mild dish soap
  • 1 tablespoon glycerin or 2 teaspoons light corn syrup (optional)
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Biodegradable glitter (optional)
  • A shallow bowl or wide container
  • A bubble wand (store-bought or homemade)
  • A measuring cup and spoon
  • A towel or cloth for gentle cleanup

Instructions

  1. Measure and mix slowly. Pour 2 cups of room-temperature water into a shallow bowl and add 1/4 cup of mild dish soap.
  2. Stir with a gentle, slow motion until the soap integrates.
  3. Add glycerin if desired for longer-lasting bubbles.
  4. Let the mixture rest for 15 to 30 minutes.
  5. Prepare your wand by running it through water and dipping it in the mixture.
  6. Dip the wand slowly under the surface and lift it straight up.
  7. Form a bubble by bringing the wand to eye level and gently blowing or moving it through the air.
  8. Release the bubble and let it float away.
  9. Notice and adapt the mix as needed for optimal bubble creation.
  10. Add color or shimmer as desired.
  11. Clean up gently by wrapping used wands and rinsing containers.
