Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup of cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of glycerin
  • Pink food coloring (choose your shade)
  • A mixing bowl
  • A pot for heating
  • Baking parchment or a silicone mat for drying
  • Cookie cutters or molds for shaping

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch, water, white vinegar, and glycerin. Mix until smooth.
  2. Heat the mixture in a small pot over medium heat, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  3. When it becomes difficult to stir and forms a ball, remove from heat.
  4. Allow to cool slightly, then knead the mixture and add pink food coloring to your desired shade.
  5. Roll out the bioplastic on baking parchment or a silicone mat and use cookie cutters to create shapes.
  6. Let the suncatchers dry completely for several hours.
  7. Hang them in a window to enjoy the gentle play of colors.

Notes

Store suncatchers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain their colors. You can reshape the bioplastic if desired.
