Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon cream of tartar
  • Food coloring (liquid or gel)
  • A mixing bowl
  • A spoon for stirring
  • An airtight container for storage

Instructions

  1. Gather all the ingredients in a tranquil spot.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the water, vegetable oil, and salt. Stir until the salt dissolves.
  3. Add the flour and cream of tartar, folding them into the mixture with a spoon.
  4. Knead the dough in the bowl for a minute as it thickens.
  5. Add food coloring gradually and knead until evenly distributed.
  6. If the dough is sticky, add a little flour; if too dry, add a splash of water.
  7. Once satisfied with the consistency, set the dough aside for a moment.

Notes

Store the dough in an airtight container away from sunlight and moisture to keep it fresh. If it dries out, knead in a bit of water to restore softness.
