Transform simple blue crayons into beautiful suncatchers that dance with color and light, perfect for adding warmth and creativity to your space.

Ingredients

  • Blue crayons (various shades)
  • Wax paper or parchment paper
  • A shallow baking dish
  • Small pot or melting container
  • Cookie cutters or molds
  • Optional: glitter for added sparkle

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (90°C).
  2. Unwrap and break the crayons into smaller pieces.
  3. Grate or chop the crayon pieces into finer bits if desired.
  4. Arrange the crayon bits into your molds, layering colors as you like.
  5. Place the molds in the baking dish and into the preheated oven.
  6. Keep an eye on them as they melt, usually taking about 10-15 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven once melted and allow to cool slightly.
  8. Swirl gently with a toothpick or skewer if desired.
  9. Let the melted crayons cool completely before removing from molds.
  10. Hang your suncatchers in a sunny window to enjoy the beautiful colors.
