Create your own calming lavender play dough, perfect for relieving stress and promoting mindfulness.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup salt (or a natural alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 teaspoons lavender essential oil (or dried lavender)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your materials in a calm, quiet space.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and cream of tartar.
  3. Create a well in the center of the dry mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the boiling water, vegetable oil, and lavender essential oil.
  5. Pour the wet mixture into the well you created in the dry ingredients.
  6. Stir the mixture gently until it starts to come together.
  7. When it’s safe to touch, knead the dough with your hands.
  8. Continue kneading until the dough is smooth and elastic.
  9. Once finished, your Calming Lavender Play Dough is ready to be enjoyed.
